U.N. Investigating Genocide Allegations

United Nations investigators arrived in Sudan to determine if genocide occurred in the Darfur region and investigate reports of human rights violations there, a spokesman said.
The team from the International Commission of Inquiry will travel to Darfur from Khartoum, the capital, this week.
The U.S. and human rights groups have asserted that the Sudanese regime and allied Arab militias are guilty of genocide in Darfur.
