Four Escapees From Prison Are Sought
From Times Wire Reports
Authorities searched across Georgia for four inmates who escaped from a medium-security prison by cutting through a fence.
Officials did not know if they were armed. One of the inmates had been convicted of manslaughter.
The men were reported missing late Saturday from the Montgomery State Prison at Mount Vernon in southern Georgia. Authorities said they could have stolen a truck.
