Residents, Police Join Forces to Fight Crime

Hundreds of people showed up to support police Chief Daniel Ortega this week as he ceremoniously signed a pledge to protect the anonymity of those who report crimes. About 300 people brought together by Communities Organized for Relational Power in Action, a group composed mostly of church members, presented about 540 pledges from residents promising to report violent crime.
