Clashes Between Police, Militants Leave 4 Dead

Militants clashed with Saudi security forces in Mecca, killing two people on each side, as the kingdom held a final round of municipal elections.
The fighting started when four militants in a car tried to pass a checkpoint into the city several hours after polls closed, said Brig. Gen. Mansour Turki, an Interior Ministry spokesman. Residents said a shootout began and lasted two hours.
