Rusty W. Bell, 21, of Pocahontas, Ark.; specialist, Army. Bell died of noncombat-related injuries Aug. 12 in Taji, Iraq, north of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 603rd Aviation Support Battalion, Aviation Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division at Hunter Army Airfield in Georgia.

Jeremy A. Chandler, 30, of Clarksville, Tenn.; captain, Army. Chandler died Aug. 11 during training operations at Forward Operating Base Ripley in Tarin Kowt, Afghanistan, southwest of Kabal. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group at Ft. Bragg, N.C.

Robert G. Davis, 23, of Jackson, Mo.; sergeant, Army. Davis was one of two soldiers killed Thursday when their Humvee struck a land mine in Kandahar, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 864th Engineer Combat Battalion (Heavy), 555th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade (Provisional) at Ft. Lewis, Wash.

Brian K. Derks, 21, of White Cloud, Mich.; specialist, Army. Derks was killed Aug. 13 when an improvised explosive device detonated near him while on patrol in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 11th Armored Calvary Regiment at Ft. Irwin, Calif.

Joshua P. Dingler, 19, of Hiram, Ga.; specialist, Army National Guard. Dingler was among three guardsmen killed Monday when their Humvee rolled over into a canal in Mahmoudiya, Iraq, south of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 108th Armor Regiment, Army National Guard in Calhoun, Ga.

David L. Giaimo, 24, of Waukegan, Ill.; first lieutenant, Army. Giaimo was killed Aug. 12 when his Humvee struck a land mine in Tikrit, Iraq. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division at Ft. Stewart, Ga.

Toccara R. Green, 23, of Rosedale, Md.; specialist, Army. Green was killed in an ambush Aug. 14 when several improvised explosive devices detonated near her convoy unit in Al Asad, Iraq, west of Baghdad. She was assigned to the 57th Transportation Company, 548th Corps Support Battalion at Ft. Drum, N.Y.

Asbury F. Hawn II, 35, of Lebanon, Tenn.; staff sergeant, Army National Guard. Hawn was one of three guardsmen who died Aug. 14 of injuries suffered Aug. 13 when their Humvee was attacked with small-arms fire and rocket-propelled grenades in Tuz Khurmatu, Iraq, south of Kirkuk. He was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment, Army National Guard in McMinnville, Tenn.

Gary L. Reese Jr., 22, of Ashland City, Tenn.; specialist, Army National Guard. Reese was one of three guardsmen who died Aug. 14 of injuries suffered Aug. 13 when their Humvee was attacked with small-arms fire and rocket-propelled grenades in Tuz Khurmatu, Iraq, south of Kirkuk. He was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment, Army National Guard in McMinnville, Tenn.

Jose L. Ruiz, 28, of Brentwood, N.Y.; specialist, Army. Ruiz was killed Monday in a drive-by shooting while conducting security operations in Mosul, Iraq. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team) at Ft. Lewis, Wash.

Paul A. Saylor, 21, of Norcross, Ga.; sergeant, Army National Guard. Saylor was among three guardsmen killed Monday when their Humvee rolled over into a canal in Mahmoudiya, Iraq, south of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 108th Armor Regiment, Army National Guard in Calhoun, Ga.

Michael J. Stokely, 23, of Sharpsburg, Ga.; specialist, Army National Guard. Stokely was killed Tuesday when an improvised explosive device detonated near him while on patrol in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 108th Armor Regiment, 48th Brigade Combat Team, Army National Guard in Griffin, Ga.

Thomas J. Strickland, 27, of Douglasville, Ga.; sergeant, Army National Guard. Strickland was among three guardsmen killed Monday when their Humvee rolled over into a canal in Mahmoudiya, Iraq, south of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 108th Armor Regiment, Army National Guard in Calhoun, Ga.
