Parliament Rejects 4 Cabinet Nominees
From Times Wire Reports
Iran’s parliament rejected four Cabinet nominees from President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, including for oil minister.
The nominees for higher education, cooperatives and social welfare also were rejected.
The vote pointed to possible rifts developing in the conservative camp, which has driven reformists from all branches of power in the last three years.
The lawmakers endorsed 17 of Ahmadinejad’s ministerial picks.
