The Defense Department last week identified the following military personnel killed as a result of service in Iraq:

Brent A. Adams, 40, of West View, Pa.; sergeant first class, Army National Guard. Adams was killed Thursday when his convoy vehicle rolled over after being hit by a rocket in Ramadi, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 28th Infantry Division, Army National Guard in Washington, Pa.

Brett E. Angus, 40, of St. Paul, Minn.; master sergeant, Marine Corps. Angus was killed Nov. 26 when a roadside bomb exploded during combat in the vicinity of Camp Taqaddum, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to Marine Wing Support Squadron 372, Marine Wing Support Group 37, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton. As part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, his unit was attached to the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward).

Aram J. Bass, 25, of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; staff sergeant, Army. Bass was one of two soldiers killed Nov. 23 when their unit came under direct fire during combat in Baghdad. The Department of Defense said their deaths are under investigation because they may have resulted from “friendly fire.” Bass was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

Ryan D. Christensen, 22, of Spring Lake Heights, N.J.; private first class, Army. Christensen died Nov. 24 at the Medical University of Charleston in Charleston, S.C., after developing a bacterial infection Nov. 10 in Balad, north of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division at Ft. Stewart, Ga.

Daniel J. Clay, 27, of Pensacola, Fla.; staff sergeant, Marine Corps. Clay was among 10 Marines killed Thursday when a makeshift bomb fashioned from several large artillery shells exploded near Fallouja, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force in Twentynine Palms, Calif. As part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, his unit was attached to the 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward).

Donald J. Hasse, 28, of Wichita Falls, Texas; sergeant, Army. Hasse was one of two soldiers killed Tuesday when a roadside bomb exploded near their Humvee during combat in Taji, north of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 13th Armor Regiment at Ft. Riley, Kan.

John M. Holmason, 20, of Surprise, Ariz.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Holmason was among 10 Marines killed Thursday when a makeshift bomb fashioned from several large artillery shells exploded near Fallouja, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force in Twentynine Palms, Calif. As part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, his unit was attached to the 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward).

David A. Huhn, 24, of Portland, Mich.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Huhn was among 10 Marines killed Thursday when a makeshift bomb fashioned from several large artillery shells exploded near Fallouja, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force in Twentynine Palms, Calif. As part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, his unit was attached to the 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward).

Patten was among 10 Marines killed Thursday when a makeshift bomb fashioned from several large artillery shells exploded near Fallouja, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force in Twentynine Palms, Calif. Eric P. Pearrow, 40, of Peoria, Ill.; sergeant first class, Army. Pearrow drowned Nov. 24 when his Abrams tank rolled over into a canal in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment at Ft. Carson, Colo.

William D. Richardson, 30, of Houston; staff sergeant, Marine Corps. Richardson was killed Wednesday in a nonhostile vehicle accident near Taqaddum, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to Marine Wing Support Squadron 372, Marine Wing Support Group 37, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing at Camp Pendleton. As part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, his unit was attached to the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward).

Joshua D. Snyder, 20, of Hampstead, Md.; corporal, Marine Corps. Snyder was killed Wednesday by small-arms fire during combat in Fallouja, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Andy A. Stevens, 29, of Tomah, Wis.; sergeant, Marine Corps. Stevens was among 10 Marines killed Thursday when a makeshift bomb fashioned from several large artillery shells exploded near Fallouja, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force in Twentynine Palms, Calif. As part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, his unit was attached to the 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward).

Gregory L. Tull, 20, of Pocahontas, Iowa; specialist, Army National Guard. Tull was killed Nov. 25 when a roadside bomb exploded near his Humvee during combat in Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 194th Field Artillery, Army National Guard in Storm Lake, Iowa.

Craig N. Watson, 21, of Union City, Mich.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Watson was among 10 Marines killed Thursday when a makeshift bomb fashioned from several large artillery shells exploded near Fallouja, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force in Twentynine Palms, Calif. As part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, his unit was attached to the 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward).
