Remembering Pearl Harbor

Share

Buried on page A26 of the Dec. 7 Times is a small notation that there would be a ceremony in Hawaii on Wednesday commemorating the fact that 64 years ago our country, as well as the rest of the world, was drawn into the biggest and most historically significant conflict in our history. Sadly, no other mention of that day appears in your paper.

Thousands died that day, and millions would die before World War II was over. The lessons of that war, both good and bad, should never be forgotten. Indeed, we should use those lessons to help ensure that the conditions and situations that led to that war are never again allowed to develop.
