My nephew, the rocker

I just came across Kevin Bronson’s “Primal, but Still Evolving” [Dec. 8]. My nephew is Matt (M. Shadows) Sanders. His father and my husband are brothers.

I really enjoyed the article and thank you for the good writing and perception of the group. My husband and I were there at the Bren Center along with my in-laws (Matt’s grandparents) in their 70s.

It was my first time seeing Matt in concert and I did not know what to expect. I was on my feet the entire time, rocking to the music and enjoying every bit of the show. He’s come a long way at only 24, personally and professionally.
