Diplomat Is Among 6 Sudanese Kidnapped

Assailants kidnapped Sudanese diplomat Abdel Moneam Mohammed Tom and five other Sudanese men as they left a mosque in Baghdad, Sudanese Foreign Ministry spokesman Jamal Mohammed Ibrahim said.
One victim managed to call the Sudanese mission briefly by cellphone after the kidnapping, Ibrahim said, but there had been no contact with the abductors. More than 240 foreigners have been kidnapped since 2003.
