Train Kills 52 Wedding Guests Riding in Trailer

A passenger train smashed into a trailer carrying wedding guests near the town of Kanhan in western India, killing at least 52 people, a railway official and witnesses said.
The trailer was being pulled by a tractor, said Jagdish Kumar, deputy general manager of South-Eastern Central Railway. Kumar said the train was traveling about 45 mph and had tried to stop. No injuries aboard the train were reported.
