Pope May Address Public Via Broadcast
From Times Wire Reports
Giant video screens were ordered to be set up in St. Peter’s Square, raising hopes that 84-year-old Pope John Paul II would be well enough today to speak briefly to the public.
Vatican broadcast technicians were told to prepare for a possible video or audio connection with Gemelli Polyclinic, where the pope has been hospitalized.
He developed breathing problems last week during a bout of flu.
