Soviets’ WWII Brutality

Tell me how I am supposed to feel about West Hollywood’s plan to erect a memorial to Soviet soldiers (Feb. 8) who fought for a government that exiled my Lithuanian family to Siberia, along with hundreds of thousands of others who met their deaths there? We tend to forget that the Soviets were as brutal as the Nazis during World War II. Such a monument glorifying Soviet victories has no place here.
