Jury Says It Can’t Reach Cleric Abuse Verdict

The jury in the trial of a former priest accused of molesting an altar boy got the case in Baltimore but failed to reach a verdict after five hours of deliberations.
The panel sent the judge a note saying, “Jury is unable to agree on any of the counts. What do we do?” Judge Stuart Berger instructed the jurors to avoid media coverage of the trial and sent them home. Deliberations were to resume today.
