The Defense Department last week also identified the following American military personnel killed in Iraq:

Michael A. Arciola, 20, of Elmsford, N.Y.; private first class, Army. Arciola was killed Tuesday when he was attacked with small-arms fire in Ramadi. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 503d Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division at Camp Casey, South Korea.

Katrina L. Bell-Johnson, 32, of Orangeburg, S.C.; specialist, Army. Bell-Johnson was killed Wednesday in a vehicle accident in Baqubah. She was assigned to the 418th Transportation Company, 180th Transportation Battalion at Ft. Hood, Texas.

David J. Brangman, 20, of Lake Worth, Fla.; private first class, Army. Brangman was killed Feb. 13 when a mortar round struck his vehicle at Camp Uvanni. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division at Ft. Stewart, Ga.

Justin B. Carter, 21, of Mansfield, Mo.; specialist, Army. Carter died of noncombat-related injuries Wednesday at Forward Operating Base McKenzie. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division (Mechanized) at Ft. Benning, Ga.

Dakotah L. Gooding, 21, of Des Moines; sergeant, Army. Gooding was among three soldiers killed Feb. 13 when the vehicle they were riding in overturned in Balad. He was assigned to the 5th Squadron, 7th Cavalry, 3rd Infantry Division at Ft. Stewart, Ga.

Jason R. Hendrix, 28, of Claremore, Okla.; staff sergeant, Army. Hendrix was killed Wednesday in an explosion during combat in Ramadi. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division at Camp Hovey, South Korea.

Frank B. Hernandez, 21, of Phoenix; sergeant, Army. Hernandez was killed Thursday when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle in Tal Afar. He was assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 14th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team) at Ft. Lewis, Wash.

Rene Knox Jr., 22, of New Orleans; sergeant, Army. Knox was among three soldiers killed Feb. 13 when the vehicle they were riding in overturned in Balad. He was assigned to the 5th Squadron, 7th Cavalry, 3rd Infantry Division at Ft. Stewart, Ga.

Chad W. Lake, 26, of Ocala, Fla.; sergeant, Army. Lake was among three soldiers killed Feb. 13 when the vehicle they were riding in overturned in Balad. He was assigned to the 5th Squadron, 7th Cavalry, 3rd Infantry Division at Ft. Stewart, Ga.

Robert A. McNail, 30, of Meridian, Miss.; specialist, Army National Guard. McNail was killed Feb. 11 when his Humvee struck another military vehicle in Iskandariya. He was assigned to the 150th Combat Engineer Battalion, 155th Brigade Combat Team, Army National Guard in Quitman, Miss.

Timothy R. Osbey, 34, of Magnolia, Miss.; sergeant, Army National Guard. Osbey was one of two soldiers killed Wednesday when a roadway collapsed, causing their vehicle to roll over in Iskandariya. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 155th Infantry Regiment (Mechanized), Army National Guard in McComb, Miss.

Adam J. Plumondore, 22, of Gresham, Ore.; sergeant, Army. Plumondore was killed Wednesday when a car bomb exploded near his vehicle in Mosul. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division at Ft. Lewis, Wash.

Christopher M. Pusateri, 21, of Corning, N.Y.; sergeant, Army. Pusateri was killed Wednesday when he was attacked with small-arms fire in Mosul. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, N.C.

Joseph A. Rahaim, 22, of Magnolia, Miss.; specialist, Army National Guard. Rahaim was one of two soldiers killed Wednesday when a roadway collapsed, causing their vehicle to roll over in Iskandariya. He assigned to the 1st Battalion, 155th Infantry Regiment (Mechanized), Army National Guard in McComb, Miss.

Ray Rangel, 29, of San Antonio; staff sergeant, Air Force. Rangel was killed Feb. 13 during a canal rescue mission in Balad. He was assigned to the 7th Civil Engineering Squadron at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas.

William T. Robbins, 31, of North Little Rock, Ark.; staff sergeant, Army National Guard. Robbins died Feb. 10 of noncombat-related injuries in Taji. He was assigned to the 39th Infantry Brigade, Army National Guard in Little Rock, Ark.

David J. Salie, 34, of Columbus, Ga.; sergeant first class, Army. Salie was killed Monday when his vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device in Baqubah. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division at Ft. Benning, Ga.

Kristopher L. Shepherd, 26, of Lynchburg, Va.; staff sergeant, Army. Shepherd was killed Feb. 11 when an improvised explosive device detonated during clearing operations in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 767th Ordnance Company, 63rd Ordnance Battalion, 52nd Ordnance Group at Ft. McNair in Washington, D.C.
