This is the Riverside County residence of Robert De Young, who has designed L.A.-area homes for such celebrities as actor Christopher Lloyd.

The house is near Nuevo, about 45 miles from Palm Springs and 75 miles from Los Angeles.

It sits on top of a mountain and has panoramic views of three mountain ranges. Temperatures at the site reach the high 90s in August, when they are in the triple digits on the valley floor.

The house is on slightly more than 21 acres of natural rockscape that is zoned for horses and can be subdivided for a second home site.
