Actor Dermot Mulroney and his wife, actress Catherine Keener, have put their home in L.A.’s historic Laughlin Park on the market at just under $4.2 million.

The house, built in 1933, was designed by architect Gordon B. Kaufman, who also designed the Athenaeum at Caltech and the Turf Club at Santa Anita.

The house has four bedrooms and two bathrooms in 4,800 square feet. There is a dramatic living room with archways, a large fireplace and beveled wood ceilings. The bedrooms have coved ceilings and views of the yard and hills. The home also has a courtyard entry, a detached guesthouse and a separate chauffeur’s quarters and recording studio.

Heading for the Glendale hills

Melora Hardin, who plays Linda Evans in the ABC special “Dynasty: The Making of a Guilty Pleasure,” airing tonight, and her husband, actor Gildart Jackson, are buying a home in the Glendale hills listed at $729,000. Escrow is to close later this month.

The Spanish-style house has three bedrooms and three bathrooms in about 1,800 square feet. The home, built in 1928 on a quiet street with mountain views, also has a rose garden, dramatic foyer with an original, wrought-iron spiral staircase, hand-painted ceilings and a breakfast room with a window seat. This was the first time the house had been on the market in 50 years.

Hardin, 37, plays the ghost of Monk’s wife in the hit USA Network series “Monk,” starring Tony Shalhoub. She will play the boss in the upcoming NBC series “The Office,” originally a BBC comedy. She recently costarred with Rob Schneider in the movie “The Hot Chick” (2002). Jackson, who is British, has appeared on the TV series “Charmed.”

Ralph Stevens of Real Value Properties is representing the couple in their home purchase.

A winning design in Palm Springs

The home, in a hillside enclave, was designed by Price’s architect son, David, and has been described as “Japanese ranch” in style. The house, which also has Southwest influences, won a design award from the American Institute of Architects.

It has three bedrooms and three bathrooms plus a subterranean office in 3,000 square feet. It was in the office that Price wrote the 2004 book “Walt’s Revolution! By the Numbers.” Price, a mechanical engineer, did the financial feasibility and marketing analysis for Disney to create Disneyland in Anaheim and Disney World in Orlando, Fla. Price helped to create other theme parks, including Six Flags Magic Mountain and SeaWorld.

Price, now in his early 80s, has lived on the property since 1973, but the house was rebuilt in 1991 according to his son’s specifications. Another son, Bret, is an artist, and some of his outdoor sculptures may be negotiated in the purchase.

Beverly Bell, of Coldwell Banker Residential Properties and the Desert Estates Network, has the listing.

Ozzy’s neighbors are moving out

Ozzy Osbourne’s Beverly Hills neighbors -- the ones he tried to engage in a food fight on his MTV reality show -- have sold their house for close to its $7.9-million asking price, and they are relocating.

The Mediterranean-style home, next door to the rock star and his family, has five bedrooms and 8 1/2 bathrooms in 8,700 square feet. The three-story house, with an elevator and a rock pool, was built in 1997.

“The Osbournes,” which enjoyed a three-year run on MTV, focused on the neighbors when Sharon Osbourne threw a leg of ham through the hedge separating the two properties. Osbourne’s kids, Jack and Kelly, followed by throwing bread, cheese and pate. Ozzy threw a block of firewood.

Beverly Hills police were heard on the TV segment telling the Osbournes to stop throwing things.

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne are to host MTV Australia’s first Video Music Awards in Sydney in March. The MTV series reportedly earned the family $80 million plus $25 million from merchandise.

The Spanish-style home, built in the late ‘20s, backs up onto a creek. It has two bedrooms and one bathroom in 1,100 square feet.
