U.S. Moves to Block Syrian Officials’ Assets
From Times Wire Reports
The Bush administration acted to block the financial assets of Syria’s interior minister, Ghazi Kenaan, and its chief of military intelligence for Lebanon, Rustom Ghazali.
The Treasury Department believes they played lead roles in directing their country’s military presence in Lebanon.
The action means that any assets belonging to the men found in the United States will be frozen. Americans are prohibited from doing business with them.
