Suspected Terrorist Freed by High Court

GERMANY
A suspected member of Al Qaeda was freed after the country’s high court blocked his extradition to Spain, ruling that a European Union arrest warrant did not comply with German law.
The Karlsruhe-based Federal Constitutional Court released Mamoun Darkazanli, who has German and Syrian citizenship, after deciding that Germany’s version of the European arrest warrant violated the country’s constitution and a suspect’s basic rights.
