Re “A smart way to close Guantanamo,” Opinion, July 18
So Timothy Naftali is an associate professor at the University of Virginia’s Miller Center of Public Affairs. It just shows how far The Times will travel to find another guy with a cockamamie view of security. If the U.S. closes the Guantanamo prison in response to the “left-wing chorus,” those Muslim enemy combatants detained there will immediately join their old units and resume killing Americans.
