Lawyer Gets 6 1/2 Years in City Corruption Case

A lawyer who admitted brokering a $585,000 bribe from garbage company representatives for himself and three City Council members was sentenced by a federal judge Monday to 6 1/2 years in prison.
Robert Dennis Pryce Jr., 55, of Tarzana also was convicted of soliciting kickbacks from contractors he hired while serving as a U.S. Bankruptcy Court trustee.
He was one of a dozen people convicted in a wide-ranging federal investigation of official corruption in Carson.
