Two Police Officers Killed in Border Town

Two police officers were gunned down on their way to work in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, bringing to five the number of officers slain in the violent border city in four days.
Ricardo Uvalle Escobedo and Jose de Jesus Morin Salinas were killed by unidentified assailants in separate incidents, investigator Oscar Sepulveda said.
Numerous spent Kalashnikov rifle shells were found near the vehicles of both officers, Sepulveda said.
