Playing with nuclear fire

Re “The wrong India deal,” editorial, July 22

Given the dangerous geopolitical and environmental side effects of nuclear technology, historically and currently, it is hard to imagine why our honorable president would consider such a request [to assist India in developing nuclear energy]. I thought we were attempting to put the genie back into the bottle, not give him an indefinite furlough. Yes, it’s the wrong deal because it’s the wrong dealer!
