ABC anchor is in North Korea
ABC News anchor Bob Woodruff began a weeklong series of reports Tuesday from North Korea after the government in Pyongyang granted visas to him and a crew.
The coverage will provide the first extensive reporting there by an American television network since then-Secretary of State Madeline Albright’s October 2000 visit, according to ABC.
The network’s visit comes at a time of high tension between the U.S. and the communist state over North Korea’s nuclear weapons program.
