He’s Wasting No More Time on Stein

Re “Pumpkin Face Masks and BoSox Body Wax,” Opinion, June 5: As a gay man I found Joel Stein’s article far less than humorous and had to work to keep from being offended. I read that he doesn’t like gay men because of the “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” stereotype.

I don’t watch “Queer Eye” or the Red Sox, so perhaps if he got to know me individually he would like me. However, now I don’t like him. Perhaps I’m just too over the hill (age 52) to get the youth-oriented, hip and supposedly sophisticated humor. It doesn’t matter to me if you sack him or not because I’ve wasted my last minute reading his commentaries.
