From Times Wire Reports

A surgeon whom officials linked to the deaths of at least 87 patients in Australia should be charged with murder in one case, a government panel said.

Jayant Patel was hired by Bundaberg Base Hospital in 2003 despite having been cited for negligence in Oregon and New York.

The Commission of Inquiry said he should be charged with the murder of a man who died five days after Patel removed part of his esophagus.
