US Weekly sets paparazzi policy

Share

The celebrity glossy US Weekly will no longer purchase photographs from paparazzi who engage in reckless behavior, according to an announcement the magazine sent out this week.

The move formalizes US Weekly’s existing guidelines against buying pictures taken by photographers who “violated traffic laws, trespassed on private property or invaded the privacy of children at school.”

The Los Angeles County district attorney’s office opened a criminal investigation into paparazzi conduct this month after a number of celebrities, including Reese Witherspoon, Lindsay Lohan and Cameron Diaz, said they experienced invasive tactics by the photographers.
