Rioters Demand That Soldiers Be Punished

About 500 people ransacked and burned a government office in Shopian village in India’s Jammu and Kashmir state, demanding punishment for soldiers after two residents were killed, police said.
Police said the two were Islamic militants gunned down during fighting. But villagers said they were innocent civilians killed after 10 days in custody.
