Ex-Yugoslav Army Chief Surrenders to Tribunal

The Yugoslav army’s wartime leader surrendered to the U.N. war crimes tribunal at The Hague to face charges from the Croatian and Bosnian wars of the 1990s, including killings and other attacks on civilians.
Gen. Momcilo Perisic joins former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic and dozens of other suspects at the tribunal. About a dozen suspects remain at large, including former leader Radovan Karadzic and commander Gen. Ratko Mladic, the court’s most wanted fugitives.
