Church Sees No Bar to Actively Gay Priests

Being a practicing homosexual is no bar to becoming a priest, the Scottish Episcopal Church said, putting it at odds with the Anglican Communion in other parts of the world.
Anglican leaders last month asked the U.S. Episcopal Church and the Anglican Church of Canada to withdraw from the Anglican Consultative Council for three years. The U.S. church had consecrated a gay bishop, and the Canadian branch had authorized blessing same-sex unions.
