Riordan’s Resignation

Share

Richard Riordan has handed in his resignation as state secretary of education (April 28), a post in which he felt restrained and stifled because he could not wield his million-dollar influence to bully for changes in policy. How frustrating it must have been for a man whose generosity knows no bound as long as he can push teachers around.

In Los Angeles, Riordan once again will have the freedom to “support” new candidates to the Board of Education, people who will follow his philosophy. Beware, teachers, we know Riordan, and he is no friend of ours!
