Man Charged in Fatal Shooting of Student, 17
A 23-year-old Rosemead man was charged with murder Monday in the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old Gabrielino High School student a block from campus, according to the district attorney’s office.
Gabriel Guerrero is accused of shooting Ryan Dasalla near an off-campus student parking area the afternoon of April 27.
At least one witness has told authorities that there was a loud argument between Dasalla and the occupants of a van moments before the shooting.
Guerrero also was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, prosecutors said. He is being held on $1.1-million bail.
