Costco puts ducats on sale

Theater tickets at Costco? The mega-retailer is selling discounted tickets to “Brooklyn,” a Broadway musical, to its members over the Web.

It’s a pilot program, said Pat Callans, vice president of member services for the corporation, and he’s not sure when it might expand. But he said he’s “looking for inventory. There are plenty of venues out there.”

The price is $54 for tickets that cost $90 at the box office and $57 to $66.50 for tickets that normally cost $95. But fees totaling $5.25 are tacked on to the Costco price.
