Hundreds of mourners filed past the open casket of 8-year-old Laura Hobbs, who was stabbed to death in a park last week near her home in Zion.
Laura’s mother, Sheila Hollabaugh, told mourners she knew her daughter was in heaven.
“I leave my little girl in God’s hands now,” she said.
The bodies of Laura and Krystal Tobias, 9, were found May 9 in a park where the girls had been playing.
Authorities have charged Laura’s father, Jerry Branton Hobbs III, 34, in the killings.
