No-Fly List Name Causes Jet to Divert to Bangor
From Times Wire Reports
An Alitalia jet headed to Boston was diverted to Bangor because a passenger’s name matched that of a person on the U.S. government’s no-fly list, but the FBI later said the man was not a suspected terrorist and referred him to immigration authorities.
Flight 618 from Milan, Italy, landed at Bangor International Airport, where the passenger and his luggage were removed. The nationality of the man was not immediately available.
