Package, Letter Prompt Evacuation of Capitol

The state Capitol was evacuated after the governor’s office received a package containing an unknown white powder and a threatening letter.
The threat was against Gov. Bill Richardson, who was in his office at the time, Department of Public Safety Secretary John Denko said.
Preliminary tests indicated the powder was not anthrax, a department spokesman said late Friday.
