30 People Killed as Bus Crashes Into River

At least 30 people were killed and 27 injured when a bus plunged into a river in the Peruvian Andes, police said.
Poor weather conditions and human error were believed to have caused the accident near the town of Jauja, northeast of Lima, said one police officer. Police and firefighters were transferring the injured and recovering bodies. They said more victims could have been washed away by the river.
