Changes afoot in the land of Ozz

Rock star Ozzy Osbourne, who just released a 52-song package of hits and demos called “Prince of Darkness,” and his wife, Sharon, have listed their Beverly Hills home of nearly six years at $11.9 million.

The pair, featured on MTV during a three-year run of their reality series filmed mostly in the house, are in escrow to buy a Beverly Hills-area home with a guesthouse and more land. They are moving because their children are now on their own and the couple say they need more land for their animals.

The house they are selling was built in 1988, but the Osbournes gutted it and had it remodeled over the course of a couple of years. The gated Mediterranean has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms in about 12,000 square feet. The house is on two-thirds of an acre.

Among its features are a grand entry with a sweeping staircase, a master-bedroom suite with a fireplace, an eat-in kitchen, two maid’s rooms, a guesthouse, a grotto pool and a spa.

The rock star, 56, is set to embark on a 15-date European tour as part of Black Sabbath in early summer. The group will headline Ozzfest 2005 from July 15 through Sept. 4. Ozzy has an album of cover songs scheduled to be released on Sony BMG in September.

Sharon Osbourne’s autobiography is expected to be released in Britain in October.

Joe Babajian and Kyle Grasso of Prudential California, John Aaroe division in Beverly Hills, have the listing.

Her arresting development

Actress Portia de Rossi’s Los Feliz home, listed at about $3.5 million, is in escrow.

The Spanish-style house, built in the community of Laughlin Park in 1922, has a master-bedroom suite with a spa.

The four-bedroom home, owned at one time by silent-screen-star-turned-producer Raymond Griffith, also has park-like grounds with an outdoor fireplace, a 50-foot-long lap pool, fountains and a rose garden.

The actress, 32, came to L.A. from her native Australia in 1995. She costarred from 1998 to 2002 on the Fox series “Ally McBeal.” Since then, she has appeared in films (“Cursed”) and the TV series “Arrested Development.”

Ex-Bruin coach trades beach spots

Steve Lavin, the head basketball coach at UCLA from 1996 to 2003 who recently completed his second season as a college basketball analyst for ABC and ESPN, has purchased a home in Newport Beach for $2.6 million.

Lavin moved from Marina del Rey to the Harbor View Homes area of Newport Beach. His new home was built by Robert McCarthy of RDM Inc., a custom home builder.

The house has five bedrooms and 4 1/2 bathrooms in about 4,000 square feet. Old-World Tuscan in style, the home also has three masonry fireplaces and hand-molded clay roof tiles.

The former coach, 40, sold his Marina del Rey home, built in 2000, for $2.7 million in April.

David R. Wagner with American First Properties in Newport Beach represented both sides in the Newport Beach transaction.

‘Monster’ man heads to Los Feliz

Michael Flynn, executive producer of the comedy film “Monster-in-Law,” starring Jane Fonda, has purchased a home in Los Feliz for about $1.5 million.

The house, built in 1956, has three bedrooms and 2 3/4 bathrooms in nearly 3,000 square feet. The California ranch-style home is on a semiprivate drive with park and city views. It also has private decks and a spa.

David Kramer, formerly with Coldwell Banker and now with Hilton & Hyland, represented Flynn with Michael Shore and Sandy Stewart.

He left Hole; now, the Sunset Strip

Eric Erlandson, former lead guitarist with the band Hole, has put his Sunset Strip-area home on the market at close to $1.2 million. The musician has been working on several music projects since he and Courtney Love announced in 2002 that Hole was splitting up amicably.

Erlandson decided to sell so he could travel and consider living elsewhere. He has owned the house for nearly five years.

The Country English-style house has three bedrooms and three bathrooms in 2,300 square feet. It was built in 1936. Its park-like grounds have a meandering pathway, a gazebo and a patio. The master-bedroom suite has a steam shower.
