Alito’s record
Judge Samuel A. Alito Jr. seems to have all the qualifications necessary for a learned Supreme Court judge. Unfortunately, his record on constitutional rights is dismal. It is hard enough for women and minorities to cope with society even with the advances in freedoms over the last century.
To take these freedoms away will create a burden that cannot be tolerated.
The choice of a centrist judge is the only way to ensure that the rights of everyone, and not just the rights of those in power, continue to grow in the future.
