A Pakistani-owned plane carrying cargo for the U.S.-led coalition crashed into mountains near Afghanistan’s capital, killing at least eight people, officials said.

Bad weather may have played a role in the crash, said Ghulam Rasool, a police commander at the crash site near Bagram, the U.S.-led coalition’s headquarters.
