From Times Staff Reports
Authorities on Tuesday identified the suspected bank robber known as the “Big-Nose Bandit.”
Amir Hossein Saadat, 28, is believed to have robbed 23 banks in Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties since June 2, said Sgt. Bill Hartford, a spokesman for the Newport Beach Police Department. The latest robbery occurred Sunday at a Union Bank branch in Irvine.
A no-bail warrant has been issued for his arrest, and the FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to Saadat’s conviction.
