Russian Ex-Official to Be Extradited to U.S.

Switzerland has agreed to extradite Russia’s former atomic energy minister to the U.S. to face charges that he embezzled at least $9 million in American funds intended to help safeguard his country’s nuclear facilities.
Yevgeny Adamov, 66, is charged with conspiracy to transfer stolen money and securities, conspiracy to defraud the U.S., money laundering and tax evasion. He denied all charges.
