Newell Rubbermaid’s Chief Executive Resigns

Newell Rubbermaid Inc. said Chief Executive Joseph Galli resigned “by mutual agreement” with the board, ending a tenure of more than four years marked by job cuts, plant closings and attempts to turn the consumer products maker around.
Newell board member and former Procter & Gamble Co. executive Mark Ketchum was named interim CEO.
