Walk this way

RE “What’d They Expect? Nobody Walks in L.A.,” by Leslie Gornstein, Oct. 15: My foot aches for the poor fashion designers who can’t find any local models to walk their way. What’s next? They’ll wail about not being able to find models with abnormally low weights, or lament that Barbie-like legs are long gone.

The gait expected of these women is as unnatural and pretentious as the “fashions” they parade up and down the catwalk. If models were truly walking like cats, they’d be on all fours, wearing furry calico coats and collars.
