20 Prisoners Tunnel Out of High-Security Prison

At least 20 Guatemalan inmates, including men convicted of kidnapping, murder and rape, escaped from a high-security prison through a 390-foot tunnel, authorities said.
After the escape from the prison 50 miles south of Guatemala City, the facility’s director and several guards were detained on suspicion of aiding the felons. The head of the nation’s prison system was fired.
