Finding a great vintage lamp: No problem. Finding a matching pair? Not your headache anymore. One of the city’s most reliable resources for 20th century furniture, the lighting studio Downtown, has doubled its retail space and quietly opened an annex that is stacked floor to ceiling with illustrious examples of lamp design a deux. Among the floor and desk lamps, chandeliers and sconces here you’ll find an emphasis in twin lamps in neoclassical metal shapes, gold-flecked Murano glass, 1960s pottery and plastics. Prices start at $500 for rewired and sparklingly restored lighting from the 1930s to ‘70s, including the fab ‘40s American lamp with an iron gazelle ($1,500 a pair), shown here with an Atomic Age design by the Italian manufacturer Zaccarini, circa 1955 ($1,800 for two). This month, Downtown development continues with Downtown Garden, featuring outdoor furniture, lighting and accessories. 719 N. La Cienega Blvd., West Hollywood; (310) 652-7461.
