Whimsy finds a place to nest

For centuries, creatures of the air and the sea have captured the imagination of artists and designers, turning up as lavish illustrations a la John James Audubon or reduced to shapely abstractions in midcentury Scandinavian textiles and tableware. Now fish and birds are nesting in an array of decorative products for every room of the house.
