City Campaign Plans to Fill 35,000 Potholes
From Times Staff Reports
City officials announced a plan Wednesday to fill 35,000 potholes in a 14-week campaign that will start Sept. 24.
Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa called the every-other-weekend program an “extra effort” to bolster the city’s pothole repairs.
Officials want residents to tell them about potholes by calling 311. And the Department of Public Works defined a pothole as: “A hole in the street with its bottom shaped like the bottom of a pot (rounded).”
