OK, so It Wasn’t Last Word on T.J.

In defense of T.J. Simers, viciously attacked last week in a letter by Allan Judkowitz, it seems some readers do not appreciate the art of satire, whose aim is to “expose vanity and effect reform.” T.J. follows in the footsteps of such exponents of classical satire and dry humor as Robert Benchley, Art Buchwald and The Times’ Joel Stein.

T.J.’s unique talent is writing with biting sardonic wit, whether in the clubhouse, tennis court or locker room. Either the interviewee gets it, or, he gets it. Hopefully, more readers will too.
