From Times Wire Reports

An Albany woman was accused of crashing a wedding party in Schenectady and splashing people with acid, injuring six, two of them firefighters, authorities said.

The firefighters were injured when their latex gloves melted as they tried to treat people splashed with the substance. Authorities said the firefighters thought they were answering a call for a hot-water burn and didn’t realize they were dealing with acid until they reached the hospital and their fingers started burning.

Rihab Hagelkhider, 39, allegedly targeted Hayfa Hussein, 29, who suffered burns on her face and body. Police were investigating why Hagelkhider, who was among the injured, attacked the group.
